Ever wonder HOW to take better photos of your family and capture those wonderful candid moments only children (and grown-up children) can provide?

It starts with light and composition and it is cultured by your photographic growth frame by frame and attention to detail.

I will be leading a small three-session private class for dedicated parents who want to keep those precious family moments and childhood personalities captured in photographs. You will learn how to light and capture those great candid moments (this not a portrait class, although we will be reviewing lighting techniques and some posed portraiture).

A new class will begin soon.

Some one-on-one classes are available. $110 covers three sessions on light, action and camera. It is not a technical course, but we will be going over HOW YOUR CAMERA WORKS FOR YOU. Get a friend enrolled and I will take $10 off the tuition price. Class limit of five.

See this SLIDESHOW of my family reunion and feel free to review my work at www.schwepkerphoto.com.

WHO AM I?

I moved to Colorado Springs this year after retiring from teaching photography at Northern Arizona University for 8 years.

Before that, I was a photojournaist for the Arizona Republic in Phoenix for 21 years, having won the Arizona News Phtographer of the Year award four times and having been fortunate to have been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize three times. My specialty has always been human interest photography and I apply the same principles of my work in capturing my family moments as I do in my photojournalistic work.

I am a believer that it is not the camera that captures wonderful moments in the life of your family and your children, it is the photographer. Those are the principles we will cover in class.
